I served for 28 years as a Special Agent with the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration. I have been associated with the King Center for almost 30 years.
My relationship with nonviolence began in 1992 as a member of the National Law Enforcement Involvement Committee under the leadership of Coretta Scott King. I continued to pursue nonviolence training over the years and following my retirement in 2014, I became a certified co-facilitator in 2016 and a certified trainer in 2019. Recently, a student we trained 14 years ago from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. High School completed her Ph.D. with a concentration on nonviolence.
