In photo above, Seoul, Korea Mayor Park Won-Soon (2nd from left), pays his respects to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King at their crypt at The King Center on June 26th after laying a wreath. A leading human rights activist and lawyer before his election last October, The Mayor has been described by The Economist magazine as a "self-styled “citizens’ candidate” and "anti-establishment independent," whose election was "a remarkable victory for people power." The Mayor, whose casual style and friendly manner has invited comparisons with President Obama, is considered a rising star in Korean politics. With an estimated population of 25.3 million citizens in the greater metropolitan area, Seoul ranks as the world's 3rd most populous city. Pictured with the Mayor is Ms. Barbara Harrison (at far left), The King Center's Director of External Affairs and unidentified members of the Mayor's party (at right).
